What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable position at Vaco by Highspring?
Responsibilities:
- Process and verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests
- Review and reconcile vendor statements, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies
- Prepare and process payment runs, including checks, electronic transfers, and ACH payments
- Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact information and payment terms
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and ensure proper coding and approval of invoices
- Prepare monthly accounts payable reports and assist with month-end closing activities
- Assist with the implementation and improvement of accounts payable processes and procedures
- 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role
- Proficient using MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
