Position Summary:The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the rent collection process, tenant account reconciliations, and ensuring timely application of payments. This role is key to maintaining accurate financial records and delivering high-quality service to tenants and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:Process rent payments, security deposits, and other tenant-related receivables accurately and on time.
Monitor tenant accounts, follow up on past-due balances, and issue late notices in accordance with lease agreements.
Communicate with tenants regarding billing questions, account status, and payment plans as needed.
Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
Collaborate with the property management team to ensure accurate tenant records and lease compliance.
Assist with month-end AR reporting, audit preparation, and year-end financial closings.
Maintain detailed and organized tenant billing files and payment histories.
2 years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in property management or real estate.
Familiarity with property management software (e.g., Yardi, MRI, AppFolio) is highly preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting principles.

- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
