Cost Accounting Manager
Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and experienced Cost Accounting Manager to join our growing team.This role will involve overseeing cost accounting functions, managing manufacturing costs, and playing a key role in the implementation of a new material and work-in-progress (WIP) process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, with a focus on manufacturing and pharmaceutical operations. Strong expertise in Excel, SAP knowledge, and process improvement experience are a plus. The Cost Accounting Manager will be instrumental in streamlining current accounting practices and driving efficiency improvements across our cost tracking and reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Accounting and Reporting:
- Oversee and manage all cost accounting activities for the manufacturing operations, including the accurate tracking of raw materials, labor, and overhead.
- Prepare and analyze monthly cost reports, including variances, and present findings to management.
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of inventory transactions in the accounting system.
- Develop and maintain cost standards for materials, labor, and overhead in the manufacturing process.

Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation is a plus.
Additional Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate strong decision-making skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A high level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Other Requirements:
- No direct reports in this position.
- Must demonstrate stability in previous roles; candidates who have moved between roles frequently are not preferred.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
