What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Specialist (Contract-to-Hire) position at Vaco by Highspring?
Key Responsibilities:
Process biweekly and monthly payrolls across multiple entities, supporting a team of approximately 1,800 employees shared between three payroll professionals
Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new hire setups and processing terminations
Administer deductions such as garnishments, insurance premiums, and other withholdings
Serve as a point of contact for payroll-related questions and ensure prompt, helpful responses
Support additional payroll-related projects as assigned
What We're Looking For:
Previous payroll processing experience preferred
Experience with Paylocity is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of organizational skill
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
