What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Cost Accountant position at Vaco by Highspring?
- Analyzing and managing costs associated with production
- Ensuring accurate product costing
- Managing inventory and accounting for proper methods
- Providing insights for cost optimization and profitability analysis.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of manufacturing budgets.
- Analyze variances between budgeted and actual costs.
- Calculating and maintaining accurate standard costs and job costs for raw materials, labor, and overhead.
- Analyze actual costs against standard costs to identify variances and potential cost drivers.
- Utilize activity-based costing (ABC) or other relevant costing methods to determine product costs accurately.
- Provide financial forecasts and projections for manufacturing operations.
- Prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, or manufacturing methods to determine their cost impact.
- Provide insights to management on cost trends and areas for improvement

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
