Staff Accountant

Our client located in Brentwood, TN is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their team! In this role, you'll be instrumental in ensuring financial accuracy while managing billing processes, driving efficiency, and maintaining compliance.
Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Brentwood, TN
Schedule: M-F 8-5pm Fully Onsite
Salary: $60 - 75K

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process equipment billing efficiently and accurately.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare financial reports and analyses to support decision-making.
• Monitor and reconcile accounts receivable transactions for accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve billing inquiries.
• Handle payroll-related tasks as needed.
• Contribute to process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Payroll and billing experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with Paycor and/or ADP is a plus.
  

Experience & Requirements:

• 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Bachelor's degree
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel for data analysis.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
• Payroll and billing experience required. Knowledge of Paycor and/or ADP is a strong advantage.
