What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Vaco by Highspring?
Responsibilities:
- Apply general accounting principles to ensure accurate financial management
- Prepare and issue detailed, precise invoices in a timely manner
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring prompt and accurate payments
- Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection and accurate tracking
- Reconcile bank statements and generate comprehensive monthly cash flow reports
- Prepare and review financial statements with a high level of accuracy
- Support annual audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis
- Uphold strict confidentiality of sensitive financial and company information
- Lead complex office administrative tasks, utilizing sound judgment and initiative
- Communicate and coordinate with vendors to resolve issues and maintain strong relationships
- 3 years of accounting and accounts payable experience
- 0-2 years managing books, banking, budgeting, and reporting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
- QuickBooks Online experience
- Experience in small/medium businesses
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong sense of urgency while ensuring work quality
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (in-person, phone, and email)
- Proactive in problem-solving, research, and completing tasks
- Deadline-driven with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attendance
- Accountable, honest, and dependable

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to:
- the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
- licensure and certification requirements;
- office location and other geographic considerations;
- other business and organizational needs.
With that said, as required by local law, Vaco by Highspring believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
