What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Ziggi's Coffee?
Position Summary
Under the direction of the Controller, the Staff Accountant will support all accounting functions of the Company & multiple related entities as well as various HR and Benefit administrative tasks. A focus on maintaining all daily, weekly & monthly accounting, business-related and HR administration functions in support of Ziggi’s businesses. Work with Controller to identify, implement and / or manage technology solutions as needed. Work with other team members in support of General Corporate business needs as they arise in areas such as Marketing, Operations & Executive. Work with Controller and Ownership on managing HR and Benefit tasks, data management, reporting and compliance. Assist and support annual audit function.
Essential Functions :
- Provides support for Franchise and related entities monthly close process.
- Maintains various subsidiary ledgers and completes general ledger entries.
- Handles all subsidiary company accounting duties, including but not limited to royalty calculations and processing, cash and other account reconciliations, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, payroll processing assistance, and sales tax support.
- Administers and provides support for all Holding Company level HR matters.
- Oversees benefits and HR reporting and all compliance requirements.
- Manages leave practices, including PTO, FMLA, Sick and other leave benefits including processing requests and managing leave reporting.
- Oversees and handles all aspects of the rebate partner program.
- Provides support in the annual financial audit process and assists with compliance requirements.
- Oversees Franchisee Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and develops materials for distribution to Franchises.
- Provides support for the Franchisee accounting training, including assisting with questions and providing proactive information to Franchises as changes occur or training needs adjust.
- Handles short- and long-term special projects as requested.
- Any other duties, as assigned.
