Role Overview:

This role focuses on managing and maintaining Windows-based MDT (Microsoft Deployment Toolkit) images hosted on GCP. The engineer will ensure the deployment infrastructure is organized, optimized, and aligned with best practices. They will also coordinate quarterly image updates from cross-functional teams and implement improvements in deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean up and optimize the MDT content library and deployment share on GCP.
• Manage the creation, testing, and deployment of Windows images.
• Establish and maintain a quarterly update cycle for MDT images.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather application updates, drivers, and OS patches.
• Troubleshoot deployment failures and optimize task sequences.
• Document processes and provide training if needed.

Required Skills:

• Expertise in Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) and Windows Imaging (WIM/ISO).
• Proficiency in managing MDT in cloud environments (GCP preferred).
• Strong understanding of Windows Server, and SMB communication protocols.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and deployment tasks.
• Familiarity with networking concepts related to MDT and SMB traffic.
• Strong documentation and process management skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Prior experience managing MDT infrastructure at scale.
• Experience working in cloud environments (GCP, Azure).
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
