Job Title: AWS Cloud DBA
Location:Nashville, TN (3-days hybrid)
Type:12 month contract
Job Overview:
This role is part of a overhaul of royalties and song administration systems, transitioning to AWS (and some components to Azure).
Key aspects of the project include:
- Applications focused on royalties (e.g., collections, payouts, tracking).
- Migrating and re-writing various modules to be Cloud Native over the next 5 years.
- Ensuring best practices in cloud space organization and development standards for the team.
- Agile workflow: one-month sprints, bi-weekly refinement and planning sessions, and developer roundtables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize AWS cloud databases in a highly available environment, including services like PostgreSQL, Redshift, and DynamoDB.
- Utilize SQL for queries, select statements, and stored procedures (testing in SQL).
- Create, maintain, and administer AWS cloud databases.
- Leverage AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) for cloud operations.
- Deploy and maintain platforms using CI/CD tools like GitLab and CloudFormation.
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in AWS (with a focus on AWS Database Migration Service).
- Strong expertise in optimizing platforms with PostgreSQL, Redshift, and DynamoDB.
- Proficiency in SQL, including creating and testing queries, select statements, and stored procedures.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and CloudFormation.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate solutions and issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-driven and able to manage projects independently.
