Business Data Analyst - Application Rationalization

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Data Analyst to join our team and support our Application Rationalization efforts. This role will focus on evaluating a large portfolio of over 6000 applications, providing data-driven insights, and supporting critical decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support the application rationalization process for a portfolio of over 6000 enterprise applications.


• Evaluate and analyze data to assess the total usage, performance, and efficiencies of existing enterprise applications.


• Provide data-driven recommendations on which applications should be decommissioned and which ones should be retained or optimized for future use.


• Structure complex data findings into clear, consumable formats (e.g., reports, dashboards) that aid in accurate and informed decision-making.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows and divide responsibilities to ensure the efficient execution of the overall application rationalization initiative.


• Develop and maintain detailed reports on application usage, performance trends, and actionable insights.


• Utilize data visualization and other tools to help stakeholders easily consume and interpret analytical findings.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst in an Information Technology (IT) environment.


• Proven ability to analyze large datasets, identify patterns, and draw actionable conclusions to support business decisions.


• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced functions and data analysis techniques.


• Experience in application rationalization or similar large-scale data-driven projects is highly preferred.


• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.


• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a team.


• A go-getter mentality with a resourceful, results-oriented approach to tackling complex tasks.
