Job Details
Title: Data Engineer - AWS Serverless, Redshift, Aurora Postgres, Node, Glue
Employment Type: 12 month contract
Location: Hybrid in Nashville (Downtown)
Compensation: 65/hr
Reason for Opening: Team is growing, not a completely new position for them, but adding. Role will be supporting modernization and moving legacy royalty system to modern tech stack hosted in AWS.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5 - 7 years of Data Engineer experience including API and database knowledge
* Strong object-oriented programming and design skills
* Knowledge of modern database technologies and experience developing database applications on AWS
* Experience with unit and integration testing
* Demonstrate the ability to build strong documentation
* Knowledgeable about all development life cycle phases and solution delivery for cloud-based systems
* Must be driven and self-motivated
* Must be organized and adaptable to change
* Must be able to work across time zones (US and UK)
SKILLS:
* AWS Serverless, Cloud Security, DevOps, Cloud Migration, Containers, Dockers
* Languages include SQL/NOSQL (Redshift and Aurora Postgress), Python, Node JS, Chart JS,
* Must have knowledge on AWS Services like Event Bridge, Step Functions, Lambda, Glue, CloudWatch, CloudFront, DMS
* Knowledge in modern data engineering languages such as Python or PySpark, Liquibase, and coding best practices such as CI/CD a plus
* Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and concepts such as Agile, SAFE, scrum, CI/CD, and DevOps a plus
* Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills to translate and explain complex technical issues and solutions to team members and product owners
* Takes proactive ownership of work through full development lifecycle
* Has the ability to accurately estimate work requirements
* Is highly focused on committed delivery dates of work
