JOB SUMMARY
Vaco Technology is currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer for a 6M C2H opportunity that is located in Irving, TX (onsite 2-days per week). The Senior Network Engineer will take ownership of the Network Infrastructure, security, and compliance. The Senior Network Engineer will oversee, manage, maintain, and support Routers / Switches, Firewalls (FortiGate / Juniper / Sophos), VPN Solutions, VoIP Systems, LAN / WAN, and Endpoint Protection. The Senior Network Engineer will work closely with MSP Partners and 3^rd Party Vendors. The Senior Network Engineer must possess a strong background in network documentation, SOX compliance, and asset management along with a passion for optimizing and securing enterprise networks. Additionally, the ideal Senior Network Engineer will lead network security, compliance, and infrastructure optimization and thrives within solving complex network environments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Senior Network Engineer - Cisco Routers/Switches / Firewalls / VPN / VoIP / LAN/WAN / Endpoint Protection


• Network Documentation / Maintenance - Work Closely with MSP Partners to Create Network Topology Maps / Infrastructure Diagrams / Technical Documentation for SOX Compliance Audits | Oversee Domestic Site Travel (25%) to Document IP Addresses / User Credentialing / Organize Maintenance Contracts for Asset Lifecycle Management, etc.


• Cisco / Juniper Routing / Switching - Manage Multi-Site Deployments / Configuration / Support / Maintenance / Troubleshooting | Manage Decommissioning / Migrations / ISP Coordination for Network Hardware Transitions


• Firewall / Network Security - Deploy / Configure / Manage Firewall Solutions (Cisco / Fortinet / Juniper / Sophos) | Oversee Firewall Migrations / Security Policy Enforcement


• VPN / Remote Access - Ensure Secure Remote Access / VPN Functionality for Enterprise Users


• LAN / WAN Support - Maintain / Optimize LAN / WAN for HA / Performance


• VoIP Support - Work with MS Teams / Teams Phone Systems and/or Related Vendors to manage VoIP Solutions


• Network Monitoring / Threat Detection - Provide Recommendations for Network Monitoring Tools | Proactively Identify / Mitigate Issues | Work with 3^rd Party Vendors to Oversee Penetration Testing / Security Assessments


• Data Center Management - Oversee Data Center Operations / Ensure NW Reliability / Security / Best Practices
