Key responsibilities include setting the vision and strategy for anesthesia, driving business development, managing budgets, and ensuring clinical and administrative excellence.
What You Will Do
- Provide leadership for all aspects of the company’s administrative operations, focusing on long-term goals, growth, profit, and return on investment.
- Set the vision and strategy for Anesthesia and ensure alignment with VH core values.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Anesthesia team, including scheduling and business development.
- Develop and implement strategies for expanding VH services and enhancing economic success with payor relationships.
- Drive organizational change by identifying barriers and executing actions to remove them.
- Promote VH Mission, Vision, and Values through activities and infrastructure that support team development.
- Create and maintain strong partnerships with health system partners and ensure alignment with VH strategic imperatives.
- Lead efforts in conflict resolution between the hospital and anesthesia group, and manage surgical case scheduling.
- Oversee budget analysis, including revenue potential and cost projections, and ensure performance metrics for accountability.
- Develop recruitment strategies for anesthesiologists/anesthetists and ensure their clinical qualifications and administrative responsibilities.
- Models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
- Performs other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
Experience
What you will need:
- 10 years leadership experience required
- Previous operations director experience preferred
- Experience in managing day-to-day operations, setting vision and strategy, and leading teams
- Advanced knowledge of the anesthesia market and operations
- Familiarity with healthcare informatics, including quality measures and compliance
- Knowledge of relevant state and federal healthcare policy, specifically in Colorado
