About the opportunity:

The Workers Compensation Specialist reports to the Director of Occupational Health to develop, maintain and manage Vail Health’s Workers Compensation program.

What you will do:

• Performs patient registration and associated tasks which includes Employer and Insurance information.
• Triages, schedules and coordinates workers compensation patient appointments.
• Partners with Employers and Work Comp insurance companies to assist patients with their M164 form and back to work processes.
• Tracks and manages all patient cases throughout the workers compensation process and obtains patient claim and contact information.
• Coordinates all patient referrals and authorizations from insurance.
• Assists overall department with administrative needs such as data entry and report generation.
• Assists with drug screens and alcohol testing.
• Assists with training and orientation
• Role models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

Experience:

• 2 years Patient Access Representative experience required

Pay is based upon relevant education and experience per hour.

Hourly Pay:: $22.60 USD - $32.50 USD
