Job Summary:
The Director of Operational Safety and Compliance will lead the development and implementation of compliance programs, conducting regular audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement. By fostering a culture of integrity and accountability, the Director will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure that compliance objectives are met while promoting best practices. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to interpret complex regulations. Additionally, the Director will serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies, ensuring that all reporting and documentation are executed accurately and in a timely manner. The individual will also be responsible for the ongoing training and development of staff concerning compliance matters, thus driving a proactive approach to risk management across the organization. The director will lead the Operational Safety, Compliance, and Fall Protection teams.

The budgeted range starts at $120,000 - $150,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience

Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are in line with industry regulations and standards.
Conduct regular audits to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Develop and deliver compliance training to all employees to promote a culture of compliance and risk management.
Stay up-to-date with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, making recommendations for necessary changes to our policies and procedures.
Collaborate with all departments to ensure compliance requirements are integrated into our processes.
Act as a liaison between the company and regulatory bodies, ensuring all necessary permits and licenses are obtained and maintained.
Monitor and report on compliance metrics to senior management, addressing any concerns or issues and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Lead and manage a team of compliance and fall protection professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

Job Requirements:
10 years of governance, risk or compliance experience
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Familiarity with state and international Tramway associations
Thorough understanding of ANSI and ASTM standards framework and the ability to adapt to new standards
Project management/change management experience with proven results
Demonstrated effectiveness in communication, interpersonal skills, relationship building, consulting, teamwork and leadership
Proven ability to manage small and large teams focused on results based goals
Preferred:
Masters Degree in related field and/or professional certifications which are applicable
Ability to present to all levels in the organization, including senior leadership and executives
Experience working in the travel & leisure or hospitality industry
The expected pay range is $120,000 - $150,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
