The Bartender is responsible for ensuring that all Resort guests have the highest quality beverage/bar experience possible while maintaining a profitable department that is environmentally responsible. This position will also follow the brand standards from the beginning of the service cycle through the entire process. This position will also exhibit strong beverage/wine knowledge and is professional and gracious while enhancing the guest experience through outstanding service skills. Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Consistently follows the steps of the service cycle as outlined in the brand standards and ensures the timing and flow of service is correctly paced
- Responsible for knowing all table numbers and point seats for proper ringing in of orders
- Handles all opening and closing duties required to operate the restaurant and ensures that all stocking is done, tables are properly set, and the dining room is clean
- Communicates all necessary and important information with the Food and Beverage team
- Complete all side work that has been assigned
- Attends the daily pre-shift huddle to learn any important daily information
- Adheres to the uniform standards and is productive and professional during entire shift
- Knowledgeable with wine and liquor and adheres to all state liquor laws
- Ensures that all state health regulations are being adhered to
- Responsible for various administrative tasks including maintaining par levels, submitting daily/weekly orders, and conducts inventory
Job Requirements:
- 21 years of age
- High school degree or GED
- Minimum of one year experience as a bartender, bartending experience in an upscale restaurant - preferred
- Current certification in a nationally recognized program concerning service of alcohol or able to be obtained upon being hired
- Certification from the state Professional Food Handler Program or able to be obtained upon being hired
- Ability to read and respond to complex correspondence. English proficiency.
- Able to multi-task and handle high volume service demands.
- Able to lift and carry 25 lbs
- Able to be on your feet for up to 8 hours
- Previous knowledge of touch screen POS systems preferred
- Previous beverage inventory experience preferred
