Nestled at the base of Vail Mountain, in the heart of the renowned Vail Village, The Lodge at Vail combines a perfect location and exemplary service with the famously classic ambiance of an alpine-inspired Vail resort. The Cook II will be responsible for setting up his/her own stations and mise en place to menu specifications and recipes. He or she will also assist in maintaining smooth operations in the kitchen during the assigned shift. The Cook II will supervise and coordinate the line crew to acheive assigned tasks according to the kitchen standards. Responsible for cooking and preparing food to order while maintaining a 100% satisfaction rate among the guests. This position also requires maintaining safe and clean work conditions.
Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years culinary experience in a high volume hotel, resort or restaurant. -required
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English. -required
- Ability to communicate in Spanish. -preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. -required
- Must maintain a clean and safe work station. -required
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours. -required
- Must love to snowboard, ski, bike, hike or just enjoy the Colorado summer. A balance of work and personal life is key. -required
