Job Summary: Kirkwood's Scanning team is looking for full time Ticket Scanning Lead’s for the 2014-15 winter season! The Scanning Lead is responsible for troubleshooting any scanning/pass issues that may occur in our lift lines while also leading a team of scanners throughout their daily duties. This position will work closely with our guests on a daily basis, so therefore, we are looking for someone who puts Guest Services as their highest priority.
Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Opening and closing duties within the Scanning Department;
- Elevating the Guest Experience by personalizing Scanning Operations at the lifts;
- Ability to adhere to required responsibilities in an unsupervised environment. Meaning establishing priorities, working independently or within a group, and proceed with objectives without supervision;
- Maintaining a professional and friendly attitude in all extremes of weather and in all dealings with guests;
- Selling of lift tickets, add-ons or up-sells, and all other ticket/season pass products;
- Knowledge of all season pass and ticket products that will be presented at the lifts;
- Accurately manage scanner transactions;
- Balancing and batching of daily scanner operations;
- Provides professional customer service on the phone, over the counter and at all other times while on Kirkwood property to all guests, answering questions regarding all aspects of Kirkwood Mountain Resort;
- Perform other related duties as assigned;
- All employees are to understand and abide by the rules of the mountain and help to ensure the guest know them as well;
- Recognize existing and potential problems and suggest resolutions.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including snow and sunshine;
- Able to stand for long periods of time;
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English language proficiently;
Preferred skills:
- Experience working with the general public;
- Previous leadership experience or projects;
- Excellent skill in customer relations, communications, and problem solving;
- Adaptable working with hand held electronics and software including troubleshooting;
- Computer/Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel).
