Ticket Scanner - FT & PT - Winter/Seasonal - Kirkwood, CA
Job Summary:
Kirkwood's Scanning Team is looking for full-time and part-time Ticket Scanners for the 2014-15 winter season. Are you the type of person that wants to stoke people out all day before they get on the lifts? This position is extremely guest services-oriented and requires an upbeat and outgoing attitude! The Scanning Agent performs all duties involved within the Ticket Scanning Department. This includes greeting and engaging all guest while scanning tickets and passes at the lifts, politely and respectfully working with all levels of guests regarding valid/invalid pass products, and answering any and all questions our guests might have. We are looking for organized individuals who are outgoing, guest service-driven, positive, have a passion for the outdoors, and take pride in their work and work environment. This is an outdoor position in the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountains. This position is base wage with a commission structure!
Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Opening and closing duties within the Scanning Department
- Greeting and engaging every guest with an outgoing attitude as they move through the maze
- Scanning every guest's season pass and ticket as they move through the lift line
- Creating a fun and enjoyable work environment including a personable guest experience as they are scanned in the lift line
- Take ownership of the lift maze as it is your office and keep it clean and tidy as often as you can
- Maintaining a professional and friendly attitude in all extremes of weather and in all dealings with guests
- Having knowledge of all season pass and ticket products that will be presented at the lifts
- Performing other related duties as assigned
- Understanding and abiding by the rules of the mountain, and helping to ensure the guests know them as well
- Recognizing existing and potential problems, and suggesting resolutions
- Own, Personalize, and Elevate the guest experience, interaction, and service at all times
Requirements:
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including snow and sunshine (outdoor position)
- Able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English language proficiently
- Able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to work unsupervised, including establishing priorities, working independently or within a group, and proceeding with objectives without supervision
Preferred skills:
- Excellent skill in Guest Services
- Excellent skill in customer relations, communications, and problem solving
- Adaptable working with hand held electronics and software
- Computer/Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel)
