Nestled within The Arrabelle at Vail Square and only steps away from the Eagle Bahn gondola, The Tavern on the Square is Vail’s most happening spot for delicious food and drink, before and after you hit the mountain. The Tavern busser is responsible for ensuring that all resort guests have the highest quality food and beverage experience possible by providing exceptional server assistant skills. Primary duties include: keeping the dining room and server stations clean, neat, well stocked and orderly. Responsible for polishing all china, glass and silver and ensuring all table settings are consistent according to the standards. Also responsible for the clearing of dirty dishes, emptying of trash and re-stocking of all items to support the server and keep the dining pace consistent to the expectations of our guests. Refills beverages and is capable of providing guests with general assistance in the absence of the server.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to effectively present detailed information both verbally and in written form to guests and fellow employees. -required
- Ability to read and comprehend complex correspondence required. -required
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English both written and verbal. -required
- Must be able to lift at least 30 pounds. -required
- Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. -required
- High School diploma or equivalent. -preferred
- Current TIPS certification for responsible service of alcohol. -preferred
- One year food & beverage experience in an upscale hotel/resort. -preferred
