World Cup/Championships Race Crew - Part Time, Winter Seasonal - Beaver Creek, CO

World Cup/Championship Race Crew at Beaver Creek Resort are responsible for the production of our annual Birds of Prey World Cup races and/or the 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships. Race crew duties include providing excellent guest service, event set up, execution and cleanup. World Cup/Championships race crew are expected to be able to learn and complete a wide variety of tasks that encompass the execution of a World Cup/Championships race. This job includes other duties as assigned including helping with the ongoing daily operations of the Beaver Creek Race Department.
World Cup Race Crew is required to work a varied schedule any day of the week with extended hours during special events and holidays. For example during World Cup/Championships a work day can start at 4am and finish at 10pm.
This is a part time position, however there are potential options for full time work within race crew and/or Beaver Creek for the rest of the season for top performers.
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older - required
- Expert skier - required
- Previous race department or coaching experience - prefered
- Able to lift and carry 75-100lbs while skiing on difficult terrain - required
- Able to work long hours outside in adverse winter weather conditions - required
- Able to work safely around heavy equipment - required
- Able read, write, speak, comprehend and understand English - required
- Able to stand for extended periods of time without sitting - required
- Able to talk and hear using two-way radios and phones - required
- Able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team - required
- Must show up on time and ready to work for every scheduled shift - required
- Flexible schedule required, may require working 7 days or more in a row (for events) - required
- Able to work weekends and holidays - required
- Prior relevant ski racing experience - preferred
