World Cup Race Crew Lead - Full Time, Winter Seasonal - Beaver Creek, CO

The World Cup Race Crew Lead at Beaver Creek Resort is responsible for the production of our annual Birds of Prey World Cup races and the 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships. Race Crew Lead duties include providing excellent guest service, event set up, execution and cleanup. World Cup race crew are expected to be able to learn and complete a wide variety of tasks that encompass the execution of a World Cup race.
World Cup Race Crew Leads are expected to direct the day to day work of World Cup race department employees. Additionally, leads are expected to set an example for and enforce department policies, procedures and standards. Leads also take on other duties as assigned.
World Cup Race Crew is required to work a varied schedule any day of the week with extended hours during special events and holidays. For example during World Cup a normal day can start at 5am and finish at 7pm.
Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older - required
- Must be an expert skier - required
- Extensive previous race department or coaching experience - required
- Able to lift and carry 75-100lbs while skiing on difficult terrain - required
- Able to work outside in adverse winter weather conditions - required
- Able to work safely around heavy equipment - required
- Able read, write, speak, comprehend and understand English - required
- Able to stand for extended periods of time without sitting - required
- Able to talk and hear using two-way radios and phones - required
- Able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team - required
- Must show up on time and ready to work for every scheduled shift - required
- Flexible schedule required, may require working 7 days or more in a row (for events) - required
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays - required
- Prior relevant ski racing experience - preferred
