Val Ward Cadillac is looking for a GM Certified Transmission Technician - an Experienced candidate who wants to be part of an awesome team and focused on good CSI.

Responsibilities:
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
- Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
- Ability to perform any additional related duties as required and assigned by service department management.
Job Requirements:
Certified Technician/Mechanic
- At least 3 years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience.
- Maintains an organized neat and safe bay.
- 3 years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving and repair experience to succeed in this position.
- A high level of motivation and energy and strong customer service skills are also required.
- Must have a Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information.
- Technician must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
- Team player - work in cooperation with others to achieve common goals.
- Must have valid drivers license - complying with company Driver Criteria Guide
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Ability to identify problems quickly
- Good knowledge of automobiles
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Good reading, computer and mathematics skills
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- GM Certified
