Job Summary
The Supervisor for the Unit Moves section oversees a team of material coordinators, providing advice and assistance on transportation movement services, encompassing unit movements, material movements, rail operations, and air operations across various modes (rail, motor, air, and water), both domestically and internationally.
This role involves performing staff assistance duties related to transportation movement, missions, and functions for assigned areas, with varied assignments focusing on policies, systems, operations, and functions of transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and supervise the Freight office, responsible for developing schedules, assigning work assignments, and coordinating with the Logistics Readiness Center's Transportation team.
- Coordinate with the TMP Manager to ensure transportation availability for travel to KAEX to support loading and unloading of aircraft.
- Collaborate with the LRC Rail team to provide assistance with rail operation briefings and ensure team readiness to assist Soldiers with railcar loading and unloading.
- Manage tools, ensuring they are signed over to Soldiers prior to rail operations and collected back at the end of each day.
Requirements:
All Contractor personnel must complete a favorable background investigation and be eligible to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Common Access Card (CAC).
