Description
Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers.
Job Summary : Sort through all returned yarn from the Weave Room and organize into buggies to be put back into yarn bins.
Essential Functions : Perform the following duties according to IS0 9001 work instructions and standards :
- Sort through all returned yarn buggies and take out bags, small or empty cones.
- Scan yarn labels for location and place yarn into buggies to be put up into bins. White yarn should be placed into bags before being placed in a buggy.
- Label buggies as to location : Row number and High / Low area.
- Work scheduled overtime
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job.
- Meet deadlines and production quotas.
