The Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Authority is now hiring for several Swimming Safety Monitor positions. These temporary, part-time roles will run from early May through the start of the local school season in the fall.
Responsibilities:
- Preventing, recognizing, and responding to emergencies.
- Providing care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel take over.
- Maintaining pool chemicals and water quality according to health department regulations.
- Delivering excellent customer service and ensuring the safety of all aquatic visitors by enforcing safety rules and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Preference will be given to candidates with Red Cross Lifeguard, CPR, and/or First Aid certification.
