Position Summary

Position Summary
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
- Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing EHS policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Coordinate and conduct EHS training programs for employees, including new hire orientation, safety meetings, and emergency response drills.
- Investigate and report on workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of EHS activities, including training, inspections, incident reports, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of EHS programs and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to EHS.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
