This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing initiatives that promote and support the educational needs of adult learners. These include recruitment, curriculum development, instructional delivery, and ongoing student support. Description of Job Function
1. Oversees the development and implementation of the Adult Learner Initiatives program by assessing community needs to expand program offerings and increase enrollment ensuring alignment with the college’s mission and goals.

2. Collaborates with deans and other department leaders to address adult learner issues, ensuring students have optimal opportunities for a successful transition to college or the workforce.

3. Directs the integration of adult learner programs and services into the broader workforce initiatives across the college. Develops partnerships with local businesses, educational institutions, and service agencies.

4. Develops, implements, and evaluates systems for data collection, compilation, and analysis. Oversees the preparation of various reports, statements, and communications to measure programs effectiveness.

5. May hire, supervise, and train employees, prioritize, and assign work, and conducts performance evaluations.

6. Collaborates with marketing and other departments to develop and manage the vision for the marketing strategy and research, to attract student enrollment to develop programs aligned with the workforce trends for the Adult Learner programs.

7. Collaborates with college leadership to evaluate advising roles and responsibilities, other initiatives related to adult learning initiatives.

8. Conducts and evaluate orientation/enrollment data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities and develops an implementation plan for procedural and administrative changes.

9. Ensures all phases of departmental planning are characterized by collaboration with the college-wide advising leadership team, student affairs partners, staff, faculty, and administration.

Required Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution, or any equivalent combination of related education, training, and/or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions.
Required Field of Study
Education, Adult Basic Education, or Educational Leadership or related discipline.
Other Required Qualifications
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive experience in developing and implementing adult learning initiatives, advising related to adult learning or related field.

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee will routinely operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, keyboards, mouse, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
