What are the responsibilities and job description for the Labeling SupervisorLLC position at Valent BioSciences?
The Labeling Supervisor reports to the Sr. Director Global Regulatory Affairs and will have overall responsibility for the labeling coordinators and all labeling activities. This position also manages the label control and development processes for the organization, ensuring artwork availability is synchronized with production schedules and order delivery.
This role and individual must be tactical and very hands-on. This individual will interact with Supply Chain to determine labeling priorities. These priorities will be shared with the labeling coordinators. The Supervisor will be responsible for their own label creations and help the coordinator with questions and issues.
This individual is responsible for the management and development of the labeling group.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Efficiently manages the labeling control team to ensure on-time availability of artwork to support production schedules.
- Develops and owns business rules associated with label development processes.
- Feels comfortable working across various software platforms to gather and impart necessary data
- Effectively communicates requirements across organization as well as through affiliate companies globally.
- Serves as lead on implementation of RRD software and creative content services.
- Manages relationship with RRD.
- Ability to read and understand an MRP system, SAP preferred, to know when labels are needed for finished good production and timing of when labels will be required.
- Manages revision-controlled label changes.
- Manage material status in SAP to ensure only approved labels are released and used for packaging.
- Working with information from the Labeling Project Coordinators, gather inventory data and production timing to effectively communicate product material destruction (MDO) costs and impacts to the business teams and affiliates.
- Conducts monthly label project status calls with necessary business affiliates and corresponding Labeling Project Coordinators.
- Helps prioritize projects and analyze project data to ensure project work is evenly distributed amongst the Labeling Project Coordinators.
- Responsible for creating annual goals and completing individual performance reviews for direct reports.

Experience:
- Between 5 – 8 years of experience required in labeling for regulated products
- SAP experience preferred
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with the rest of the organization
- Able to effectively interface with all levels and departments within the organization
Education: Between 5 - 8 years of relevant experience required; comfortable with working with new software programs
Travel: <5% of dedicated time in role

Base Salary : The estimated annual base salary for this position ranges from:
$106,300 to $130,300. Individual pay is based upon location, skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
Incentives: All full-time employees are eligible for an incentive program or profit-sharing program in addition to their base salary.
