About This Opportunity: As the VP of Data, you will lead the strategy, governance, and operations of our enterprise data platform. You’ll own data engineering, data governance, enterprise reporting, and analytics across the organization—including Member, Product, and Engagement Analytics. We will look to the VP of Data to play a pivotal role in unlocking the value of data to drive innovation, improve decision-making, and support our mission of transforming healthcare.

Things You’ll Do Here:
  • Define and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Build a future-ready data foundation that enables advanced analytics, operational intelligence, and real-time decision-making.
  • Lead the development and scaling of modern data infrastructure, including data pipelines, cloud data platforms, and integration services to support a growing volume and variety of healthcare data.
  • Establish and enforce enterprise data governance policies, standards, and practices to ensure data accuracy, integrity, privacy, and compliance—especially in a regulated healthcare environment (e.g., HIPAA).
  • Oversee analytics functions including Member, Product, and Engagement Analytics. Deliver high-impact insights that guide product development, member engagement strategies, and overall business performance.
  • Own the enterprise reporting function, delivering timely, accurate, and actionable reports to both internal stakeholders and external clients. Champion self-service analytics and modern BI platforms.
  • Partner with business, technology, and product leaders to ensure data is accessible, understandable, and embedded into decision-making across the organization.
  • Lead the integration of data assets and analytics capabilities resulting from acquisitions. Drive unification of data sources and eliminate silos to create a single source of truth.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of data engineers, analysts, data stewards, and BI developers.
  • Cultivate a data-driven culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
  • 15 years of experience in data leadership roles, including at least 3 years in a senior executive position.
  • Deep expertise in data engineering, data governance, analytics, and reporting within complex, regulated environments, preferably in healthcare.
  • Strong technical knowledge of modern data architecture (e.g., cloud data lakes, data mesh, real-time streaming), data warehousing, and analytics tools (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Demonstrated success in leading enterprise data strategy and governance programs.
  • Proven experience integrating data and reporting platforms post-acquisition.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
A plus if you have:
  • Master’s degree.
  • Background in healthcare, insurance, or related industry.

Where You’ll Work: This is a fully remote position, and we’ll provide all the necessary equipment!
  • Work Environment: You’ll need a quiet workspace that is free from distractions.
  • Technology: Reliable internet connection—if you can use streaming services, you’re good to go!
  • Security: Adherence to company security protocols, including the use of VPNs, secure passwords, and company-approved devices/software.
  • Location: You must be US based, in a location where you can work effectively and comply with company policies such as HIPAA.
