Responsibilities
The primary function of the Mobile Crisis Case Manager (MCCM) is to respond as part of the Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) Team in the community to support individuals experiencing a mental health crisis by building skills of relapse prevention, symptoms management, medication management, building natural and social supports, identifying triggers and identifying crisis, preventing crisis, understanding mental health diagnosis, boundaries, and self-care. The primary function of the Community Crisis Case Manager is to help consumers achieve short-term, crisis related goals based on the consumer’s wants and needs in the areas of daily living, financial, vocation/education, social supports, health, and leisure/recreational supports. The MCR program is designed to provide effective and timely care for individuals, including crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and resource connection. The goal of services provided is to allow individuals to remain the community whenever possible. Assigned duties will occur primarily in the community.
Job Requirements
Job Requirements:
- BA/BS degree, Associate of Arts degree in Mental Health technology with experience, an LMHT with experience, or one equivalently qualified by work experience substituting for one year of education.
- Experience with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and crisis case management preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to pass a KBI security check and DCF Child and Adult Abuse Registry check.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid Kansas driver’s license, and current auto insurance required.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills, with accuracy and efficient typing skills.
- Must be able to complete required KsTrain online trainings and program trainings.
- Must be able to perform day-to-day physical requirements of the position, including but not limited to- 20% of scheduled time; data entry, answering the phone and computer work, 80% of scheduled time
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds, frequently moving around the building and community, repetitive moving, carrying and lifting as the job demands.
Salary Range
$22.97 – $25.47 – $29.16
Hours
Monday – Friday 1pm – 9pm
