Director - Enterprise Architect

Valeo is actively seeking a Director – Enterprise Architect. The Enterprise Architect (EA) will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Valeo’s IT infrastructure that supports the organization’s strategic objectives. This role involves aligning IT strategy with business goals, ensuring that the technology architecture is scalable, secure, and efficient. The EA will work closely with business leaders, technology teams, and other stakeholders to identify solutions that enhance business processes and optimize the use of technology resources. This role will report to Valeo’s Chief Information Officer.

This position will be based in our Carmel, IN headquarters and will require consistent in-person attendance.

Duties And Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Alignment:

• Develop and implement an enterprise-wide technology strategy that aligns with the organization’s business goals.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of new technologies, ensuring compatibility with existing systems.
• Collaborate with senior management to define and prioritize IT initiatives.
  
  

Architectural Design

• Design and oversee the integration of various IT systems, applications, and platforms, ensuring that all components work together seamlessly.
• Develop blueprints and roadmaps for the deployment of technology solutions across the organization.
• Ensure the architecture supports scalability, performance, security, and compliance.
  
  

Governance & Standards

• Establish and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and principles to guide technology decision-making.
• Review the design and architecture of projects and new solutions to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture.
• Monitor and update enterprise architecture as the organization’s needs evolve.
  
  

Risk Management & Security

• Identify and mitigate risks related to IT systems, infrastructure, and processes.
• Ensure that security and data privacy requirements are incorporated into architectural decisions.
  
  

Performance Monitoring & Continuous Improvement

• Track and assess the performance of IT systems and recommend improvements.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually refine the organization’s IT architecture.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT architecture, systems design, and/or solution development.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and hybrid architecture models.
• Expertise in designing scalable and secure IT solutions.
• Excellent understanding of cloud computing, networking, security, and database systems.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Ability to think strategically and align IT objectives with business needs.
• Experience in the financial services industry preferred.
