Position Overview:
Working directly with our Chief Investment Officer, this role will champion operational duties within the investment function of the firm. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, collaborative, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires in-person office attendance and is based in our Carmel, Indiana headquarters.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the internal expert on Valeos performance monitoring software and related investment resources. Assist with troubleshooting system questions and conduct periodic audits to ensure ongoing accuracy of data.
- Assist with the creation and distribution of investment focused deliverables such as quarterly market guides, dashboards, and other communication pieces.
- Provide operational support for trade execution, monitoring, and reconciliation, ensuring all trades are processed accurately and on time.
- Support the creation of client performance reports, investment statements, and other ad-hoc reports, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Support cash management activities, including ensuring sufficient liquidity in client accounts for trade settlements and withdrawals. Assist with cash flow projections and reporting.
- Monitor and track investment transactions, ensuring all actions align with client investment strategies and objectives. Assist with trade settlement and post-trade allocations.
- Work closely with the investment operations team to optimize workflows and identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Help with maintaining client and portfolio records in accordance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
- Assist with managing relationships and communication with external vendors, custodians, and other service providers.
- Participate in special projects related to system upgrades, process improvements, or new business initiatives, offering operational insights to streamline execution.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year university or an equivalent blend of experience. Finance or similar major strongly preferred but not required.
- 2 years of relevant analytical experience required. Active pursuit of the CFA designation strongly preferred.
- Highly proficient in Excel, Access, and other Microsoft Office products.
- Possess strong business communication, organization, and presentation skills.
- Able to work collaboratively and autonomously.
- Creative thinker who is highly resourceful and possesses a strong attention to detail.
