Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace roofs using materials such as shingles, metal, tile, and flat roofing systems.
- Inspect roofs for damage, leaks, or wear and provide recommendations for repairs.
- Measure and cut materials to fit angles and corners of roofs.
- Apply weatherproofing solutions to protect buildings from the elements.
- Operate hand and power tools, including nail guns, saws, and roofing hammers.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe work environment.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring efficient use of supplies.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of roofing experience (preferred but not required for entry-level positions).
- Knowledge of various roofing materials and installation techniques.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards (OSHA certification is a plus).
- Reliable transportation to job sites in the Pooler, GA area.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
