Valero Energy seeks a highly skilled electrical engineer to provide expert services for engineering projects. The successful candidate will ensure that electrical aspects of projects are completed on schedule, under budget, safe, reliable and energy efficient.
The ideal candidate will possess experience in electrical distribution up to 69KV, industrial cogeneration above 10MW, large project execution, protective relay coordination, application and testing, and hazardous area classifications. A background in refining or petrochemical environments is preferred.

This salaried exempt position offers a competitive salary range of $127,000 to $174,500, commensurate with qualifications and experience. All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card. Key Qualifications:

- Project management and engineering duties on capital projects primarily electrical in nature.
- Technical liaison between CP&L and Valero Refining Company.
- Overseeing all phases of electrical work on all capital projects.
- Assisting Operations and Maintenance Departments during major electrical system disturbances and incidents involving electrical equipment failures.
This salaried exempt position offers a competitive salary range of $127,000 to $174,500, commensurate with qualifications and experience. All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card. Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical Engineering required.
- 5 years of related experience required.
- Experience in a refining or petrochemical environment preferred.
