Job Title
Maintains and troubleshoots the Honeywell DCS system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and maintain DCS (Honeywell TDC 3000 & Experion) including control schemes, graphics, and tags.
- Provide daily control systems support to assigned operating units.
- Interface with operations and process engineering groups.
- Develop and implement process control schemes and control techniques.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve controller performance issues including PID loop tuning.
- Perform alarm reviews with operations to support corporate alarm rationalization program.
- Support project engineers with project funding, execution, and control scheme development.
- Maintain and support advanced process control program and communicate performance to process engineering and operations.
- Develop and maintain control related documentation.
- Work with instrumentation maintenance personnel to troubleshoot plant issues.
- Effectively presents information and respond to questions from operations, maintenance personnel, and management.

Qualifications:
- Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Benicia Refinery, required.
- Bachelor's or higher level degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Control Systems, Mechanical Engineering, or related field required.
- 5 years of engineering experience in a petroleum refinery required.
- Process engineering experience preferred.
- Process control and/or control systems engineering experience required, including 2 years of DCS control experience preferred.
