Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity at the Office of Naval Research! Valiant Harbor International is seeking a Financial Analyst (Navy ERP) with experience applying financial methodologies and principles to support organizational objectives. The ideal candidate will be an accomplished Navy ERP analyst with a demonstrated history of financial management proficiency.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records to include tracking commitments, obligations, and expenditures and support the resolution of budgeting and financial issues.
- Monitor program funds in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) to ensure benchmarks are being met.
- Ensure financial resources are used in accordance with budgetary authority.
- Execute and manage the approved budget based on Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Presidential Budget (PB) allocations.
- Prepare/process and track funding documents in Navy ERP. Experience/knowledge of DoD/DoN grants processes is a plus.
- Update, reconcile and analyze monthly financial execution reports utilizing various ERP reports; manage the planned amounts in ERP and identify issues and provide recommendations.
- Prepare and submit Obligation Phasing Plans (OPPs) to budget and allocate program funding; monitor against benchmarks and assist in generating responses to financial data calls from various organizations.
- Prepare financial slides for various briefs to include congressional staffer briefs, program status and milestone briefs.
- Research, analyze, and develop recommendations to support organizational management of financial resources.
Required Skills/Experiences
- Applicant must be a United States citizen.
- Must have a current DoD Security Clearance (Secret) or the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance (Secret).
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University is required.
- 3-5 years experience with Navy ERP
- 3-5 years experience providing budget financial management and acquisition program management.
- Experience with RDT&E funds (Budget Activity 6.1-6.3)
- Experience with Reimbursable Funding Documents
- Experience with all Microsoft Office applications - Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience with processing grants is desirable.
Yearly Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000
