What You’ll Get To Do
- Work with the project management team to gather all information required to quote engineering changes
- Learn and use the change estimating tool and database to gather information and upload quotes and supporting data
- Engage with the purchasing team to gather commercial and/or historical pricing data for use in quotes
- Attend job kick-off meetings as required to understand the content and scope of work
- Work with the engineering team to ensure designed content matches sold content
- Prepare, conduct, and assist in technical presentations to customers when required
- Conduct line-up for the project team on change orders received
- Compile all information (change package consisting of before/after information) and negotiate change estimates with the customer
- Maintain tracking system for all changes
- Experience: 3 years of experience in cost estimating, and formulating written proposals for automotive automation and tooling.
- Education: Bachelor of Applied Science, diploma in technical study or equivalent experience.
- Skills: Experience using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and other computer software.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
- Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
