Job Description :
This professional position develops, implements, and maintains oversight of effective, corporate-wide compliance and risk management / safety programs. This position assists the CEO in management of regulatory affairs and designated legal functions. This position is responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, including, but not limited to, provider employment agreements, real estate leases, equipment leases, research agreements and vendor and information technology contracts. This position will provide advice and guidance regarding compliance, medical staff issues, licensing, employment law, research, and business transactions. It is important for this position to have familiarity with laws, rules, and regulations applicable to healthcare entities. This position will also provide legal advice to management on a wide range of patient issues, including interfaces with external regulatory agencies and patients / families.
