Position Overview
The District is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources & Risk Manager to lead its HR and Risk Management Department. This key leadership position oversees a team including a Human Resources Analyst I, a Human Resources Technician II, and a Safety Manager.
The selected candidate will be responsible for a wide range of HR and risk functions, including:
- Employee and labor relations
- Recruitment and selection
- Classification and compensation
- Benefits administration
- Leave management
- Training and development
- Performance management
- Policy development
- Workers' compensation and risk programsThe HR & Risk Manager will work closely with senior leadership, providing strategic direction on workforce planning, employee development, and labor negotiations while fostering a positive organizational culture.

Qualifications
Education:- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public/Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- SHRM-SCP or PHR certification is desirableExperience:
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible HR management experience (public agency experience preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory roleCompensation & Benefits
