Position Summary :
As the Vallen Senior Estimator you will help develop LSS Solutions for industrial customers. The estimator develops most effective system concepts, scopes of work and cost analysis / TIC estimates. You will make technical consultations for internal and external customers. The Senior Estimator will assist other Estimators with more complex projects and proposals. You will perform technical GAP Analysis of sites as a basis for projects for fee and assists with the coordination of proposals based on talent of other estimators and workload.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities :
Analyze information regarding product inventory levels, to identify opportunities and action plans to generate additional Vallen margin and customer cost savingsCapture special pricing agreementsSupport the National and Regional Account RFQ process to drive sales revenueMaintain vendor agreements, pertaining to the special pricingPrepare technical reports (dashboards), memoranda, portals, and instructional manuals, as requiredParticipate in customer project / repair service activitiesPerform other duties as assignedCommunicate with technical staff and or vendors to gather needed information for quoting / proposals and job requirementsReview and analyze company / customer prints for needed information to generate accurate proposalsProduce and distribute technical wright-ups, quotes, or proposals for all Life Safety System, Underground Fire Water Supply Systems, and any other service and or repair needsManage and coordinate Life Safety Systems and product quotation strategiesCapture, track, and report on quotation analysis, i.e. 'Quote Matrix'Manage customer expectations & disputesResolve Customer DisputesEnsure effective sales relationship trainingIdentify Cross Selling Opportunities for other Divisions and Opco'sAssist Administrative team on all awarded ordersConduct field surveys as needed for "Request for Quotations" RFQMaintain current NFPA, Local and Industry Codes & StandardsManage customer base ITM deficiencies and repair quotationsJob Qualifications :
Education and / or Experience :
5 - 7 years related sales experience and / or training; orEquivalent combination of education and experienceExperience and knowledgeable in all areas regarding Water-based, Special Hazards & Deluge and FoamState and or NICET certification in water-based systemsMust be familiar with and understand NFPA 11, 13, 15, 20, 25 & 72Demonstrated working knowledge of contract language, rebate and / or pricing practicesDemonstrate ability to analyze, research and identify data trends from which decisions can be madeSelf-starter with the ability to work independently with little supervisionStrong attention to detail and accuracyDemonstrated strong planning, organizational and execution skillsExcellent customer serviceSQL experience preferredRequirements :
