Middle School Robotics Exploratory Instructor
Valley Christian Middle School is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructor to teach our Middle School Robotics exploratory class for the 2nd quarter of the Fall Semester of the 2025-26 school year. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) principles through hands-on robotics projects while integrating Christian values into the learning experience. This course will provide students with an introduction to robotics, coding, mechanical design, teamwork, and problem-solving. Members of the middle school staff excel at creative problem solving, working with a diverse student body and engaging in authentic relationships with students. Our desire is to provide transformative learning opportunities for students. Prospective instructors should be able to design creative learning experiences where students must apply their learning in real-world settings.

Qualifications
The preferred candidate will have:
- A passion for working with middle school students and inspiring a love for STEM.
- Experience with robotics (FRC, FTC, VEX, or similar) and programming (Python, Java, or block-based coding) preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD software, mechanical design, or electrical systems (preferred)
- Background in education, engineering, computer science, or a related field is desirable.
- Prior experience coaching or mentoring a robotics team (preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to integrate faith and learning in a way that aligns with Christian values
- A personal relationship with Christ and regularly attends a Protestant Christian
A bachelor's degree is required, a bachelor’s degree in a related field of study (e.g. Science, Biology, Chemistry, Secondary Education) is preferred. Applicants must profess faith in Jesus Christ and be active members of a local church community.
