What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUD Clinician Lead position at Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care?
SIGNING BONUS $5000
Provides consultation & supervision to SUD/COD clinicians providing SUD services to include evidence-based practices, case planning with collateral systems, coordination of treatment planning with families, outside systems and the treatment team. Provides treatment and case management services to clients who have substance use disorders and possibly, a co-occurring disorder (MH and SUD diagnoses).
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide consultation & supervision to SUDPT clinicians providing SUD services to include evidence-based practices, case planning with collateral systems, coordination of treatment planning with families, outside systems and the treatment team.
- Assure the SUDPT supervisees completes accurate evaluations, diagnoses, tier assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, closing summaries and other necessary reports and correspondence related to client care. Review and approve SUD services generated by SUDPTs.
- Train SUDPT supervisees clinicians to integrate treatment for clients with co-occurring disorders, including using motivational interviewing, SBIRT and harm reduction strategies.
- Perform appropriate assessment and referral of COD clients.
- Provide the knowledge, skills and attitudes of a Substance Use Disorder Professional.
- Work directly with individuals who suffer from a substance use disorders and Mental illness.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA Degree in Behavioral Sciences Field, MA desired
- Washington State Substance Use Disorder Professional Certification
- 3 years of experience working as a SUDP
- Clinical Supervisor certification and one year of Clinical Supervision and training experience desired
- Current Driver’s License
- Pass required background checks
