What are the responsibilities and job description for the SUD Clinician - Auburn position at Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care?
SIGNING BONUS: SUDP - $5000/SUDPT - $1500
Provide Substance Use Disorder (SUD) assessments, individual, support groups, education groups, crisis services and relapse prevention. Provides treatment and case management services to clients who have a co-occurring disorder (mental health and chemical dependency diagnoses). Ensures a strong recovery, wellness, and hopeful environment for SUD clients.
Essential Job Functions: (This is not the job description in its entirety)
- Orients and educates clients and their families by meeting them in and out of the office; collaborating on the recovery plan; providing educational information in conjunction with direct service providers related to treatments, procedures, medications, and continuing service requirements.
- Assists SUD with group planning and facilitation, provides assessments, individual services and other substance use disorder services as necessary
- Provides Crisis Management Services.
- Participates in QI activities and participates in committees as assigned.
- Performs real world problem solving with the client, which may require the clinician to work in the office as well as in the community field to engage clients in services. This may include but is not limited to clients’ homes, hospitals, schools, and shelters.
- Advocates for the client with community, family, providers, landlords, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
- AA Degree in Behavioral Sciences Field, BA desired
- Washington State Substance Use Disorder Professional/Trainee Certification required
- Current Driver’s License
- Pass required background checks.
Other:
- Current Automotive insurance: If transporting people in personal vehicle.
- Ability to work independently.
- Willing to work evenings.
- If recovering from alcohol/chemical dependency, have been in recovery for at least two years and be working on a personal recovery program that is verifiable and documented at the time of hire.
