Opportunity: Permit Administrator

Role Overview and Responsibilities

Join our team as a Permit Administrator, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless zoning compliance for all our new projects. Your expertise will extend to researching and comprehending local zoning codes pertaining to signage regulations. Your meticulous attention to detail and valuable insights will directly influence project success. With your adept written and verbal communication skills and proactive follow-up abilities, you will drive clarity and efficiency in the zoning and permitting processes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Permit Administrator, you will:

  • Initiate and secure all requisite permits for various projects.
  • Conduct comprehensive research, analysis, and interpretation of zoning regulations across multiple municipalities, effectively communicating these findings to sales and project coordinators.
  • Manage sign variance scenarios, including material preparation, attending municipal meetings, and presenting cases before municipal boards.
  • Coordinate MISS DIG scheduling services before sign installation.
  • Facilitate inspections related to signage.
  • Handle bid bond and bond requests, monitor project progress, review costs, and submit necessary documentation upon completion.

Requirements

Prior experience in zoning administration and enforcement is a huge plus, but we want you to apply if candidates possess the following:

  • A demonstrated aptitude for research and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong project planning and follow-up skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs.
  • Able to sit for long periods and read ordinances and other monotonous work

Benefits and Schedule

  • Full-time position.

  • Regular 8-hour shifts.
  • Ability to commute or relocate to Comstock Park, MI 49321 required.

Experience

  • Three years of customer service experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite for at least three years is required.
