Valley Community Services Board is looking for a Child Mental Health Intake Case Manager to join our team! As a member of the highly collaborative Community-Based Services team, the Child Mental Health Case Manager will play a vital role in providing and connecting children and their families to support services.

Summary of Essential Functions
- Completing case management specific intakes to ensure compliance with service enrollment expectations.
- Facilitating efficient transfers from intake process to permanent case manager so no lapse in services occur.
- Provide intensive case management services to children and adolescents at risk of or diagnosed as severely emotionally disturbed.
- Collaborate with the children, adolescents, and their families to facilitate adjustment at home, in school, and in the community.
- Help children, adolescents, and their families navigate crisis stabilization and emergency intervention services as needed.
- Working effectively in the community and home settings.
- Coordinate care and discharge planning with the Commonwealth Center for Children and Adolescents (CCCA).
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field from an accredited program.
- At least one year of experience working with children or adolescents in a clinical mental health setting.
- Must pass required pre-employment screenings, including, but not limited to, criminal history and experience verification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with intensive care management services for SED at-risk children and adolescents.
- Experience with crisis interventions and linking to emergency services
- Demonstrated familiarity in using information from assessments, evaluations, observation, and interviews to develop ISP’s.
- An understanding of treatment modalities and intervention techniques such as behavior management, independent living skills training, supportive counseling, family education, crisis intervention, discharge planning and service coordination.
