What are the responsibilities and job description for the Practice Manager position at Valley ENT, PC?
This position provides effective leadership for an Otolaryngology clinic with 2 Physicians. The Practice Manager is accountable for daily operations including excellence in customer service and satisfaction, handling sensitive issues in a professional manner, as well as financial management and human resources for the clinic location.
This position is responsible for supervising staff employees and ensuring punctuality, obtaining prior authorizations, assisting in the handling of phones and the ability to cover duties in staff absences. The Practice Manager is expected to maintain a positive attitude, led by example, and manage the providers' practice in such a way as to achieve strategic organizational goals. This includes goals surrounding provider, employee, and patient engagement, and operational and clinical excellence.
The Practice Manager must have a visible desire to constantly improve morale, scheduling, appearance, efficiency, charge entry and all other aspects of office management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Three years of general supervisory experience
- Demonstrated strong computer skills, including proficiency in word-processing, spreadsheet, and healthcare EMR systems
- Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal relations skills
- Demonstrated leadership, personal and professional ethics and an ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding
