Medical Receptionist

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and maintaining efficient office procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, health information management, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Duties

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
• Schedule appointments and maintain the clinic's calendar.
• Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries with professionalism.
• Collect patient information and verify insurance details accurately.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Review documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
• Utilize Meditech or similar electronic health record systems effectively.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a medical office management is preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
• Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in front desk operations within a clinic setting is advantageous.
• Knowledge of health information management practices is a plus.
• Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in using computer systems and software relevant to medical administration.
