The Consumer Loan Originations Supervisor oversees the loan origination process, ensures maximum production levels, and maintains high member experience and compliance standards. This role involves direct supervision of the Lending and Sales Advisors, monitoring their pipelines, and guiding their professional development. The Supervisor will collaborate with management to generate new business opportunities and expand market share. This position also supports recruitment, hiring, and training efforts while maintaining a personal loan production pipeline in alignment with company goals.
- Direct the activities of the Lending and Sales Advisors to achieve maximum production levels.
- Oversee the performance of the Lending and Sales Advisors team by tracking and monitoring employee progress towards goals and standards, communicating goals, and implementing policy changes regularly.
- Facilitate regular team meetings to build communication and discuss departmental matters.
- Monitor Lending and Sales Advisors' pipelines to ensure timely processing and delivery of an outstanding member experience.
- Enforce credit union policies and guidelines and ensure adherence to state, federal, and credit union regulations. Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
- Perform file maintenance within departmental standards, including timely acknowledgment and processing of requests.
- Collaborate with management to generate new business through credit union-provided marketing leads.
- Assist in developing referral business through partnerships with dealers, contractors, financial advisors, realtors, and other key stakeholders.
- Expand market share by leveraging existing and new relationships.
- Conduct performance reviews and support overall employee career development.
- Support the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of Lending and Sales Advisors.
- Train new hires and provide ongoing coaching to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain a personal production pipeline and strive to achieve credit union loan productivity goals. In their absence, support the Lending and Sales Advisors' pipelines.
- Register with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) to originate home equity applications and assist first mortgage loan requests.
- Other duties as assigned by Lending leadership.
Education, Experience & Skills
- A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course at a business or trade school.
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in the consumer loan sales and service industry, with a minimum of three years supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage all phases of the loan origination process for both direct and indirect applications.
- Proven and successful track record of achieving results, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Excellent and effective presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with members and co-workers.

- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating, and/or advising others on matters of significance.
Pay Range & Work Schedule
- This position is a Tier 10 with an hourly range of $29.88 to $44.82
- The anticipated pay rate for new hires is between the low-end and midpoint of the range, depending on experience
- The pay rates listed above are based upon the geographic location of our Administrative Offices in Modesto, CA using the greater Central Valley area for our pay range calculations
- Full Time, typically 36-40 hours per week. Schedule will be based around departments needs but will typically be:
- Monday to Friday- 8:30am-5:30pm
- Flexibility to occasionally work early or late hours, typically with advance notice
